BOB YELLIN
Happy Birthday My Love!!
December 30, 1952. A day that changed the world, at least mine, because it brought Bob Yellin into it. He is my soulmate, my love, my muse, and my light. He would have been 72 today.
I’ve spent today looking through pictures and rereading the hundreds of love notes he left me over the years—sweet, spicy--some still make me blush...and all are so completely him. Every word pulls me back into the magic of our years together--"a storybook romance" he loved to brag. We were lucky to find each other after all the hurdles life threw at us. Bob always said we were destined to meet, and I believe that with all my heart.
Bob was such a loving, doting husband, and I adored him right back. One of Bob's close friends told me after his death, "you were the love of his life - he never stopped talking about you like he was an infatuated teenager- even after all the years you two were together" - I felt that, I lived that, and I am so grateful for his love.
One of my favorite lines from Valentines Day note he wrote just 7 years ago:"Our love is so deep, steady, and full of the kind of passion that comes when two souls finally find their home in each other."

Today, on what would have been Bob's 72nd birthday, I celebrate him—the man, the love, the magic. I miss him terribly, but he’s here, in every memory, every note, and every beat of my heart.
Happy birthday, my forever love.
From your most adoring fan, Genevieve ("of wifely fame" as you would say) :-D
